WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Champion the assigned platform, work hand-in-hand with engineering teams to build/enhance/support it.
  • Foster strong culture of software engineering best practices by implementing processes and tools (code reviews, code quality, automation, CI/CD, platform monitoring, technical knowledge base).
  • Ensure the performance, quality, security, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify, analyze, and propose resolutions for technical risks and technical issues.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the software industry and trends.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.

YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years in a similar role (engineering manager, technical manager, technical architect, solution architect, etc.)
  • 10+ years’ expertise with Java-based technologies (Java, J2EE, Hibernate, Spring Framework) and OOP.
  • Proven successful track record of designing, building, and delivering horizontal scaling and high concurrency software platforms.
  • Still do the hands-on coding, conduct R&D, create proof-of-concept, and provide technical know-how to the engineers.
  • In-depth experience of microservices architecture, architectural design, software design patterns, RESTful API design, horizontal scaling, and high concurrency.
  • In-depth experience with MongoDB, Redis, Hazelcast.
  • Hands-on experience of AWS, K8s, EKS.
  • Hands-on experience of clean code, coding standards, code review, unit tests, mocking libraries, code coverage, code refactoring, CI/CD.
  • Strong sense of result-oriented, ownership, and responsibility.
  • Having any of these experienced is a plus: Nodejs, Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Maven, Tomcat, non-functional aspects (security, performance, and scalability…).
